About
Dave Ellis
Skills coach, course facilitator, and contract consultant with 30+ years of experience developing rugby players and coaches at every level of the game.
Following his playing career of over 300 first grade games in various countries, Dave moved into coaching, specialising in skills. Three decades on, he's worked with some of the best international players and coaches in the world, in all corners of the globe.
His philosophy is simple: the edge is in the detail, and the detail has to be taught in plain English. Whether the audience is a Premiership backline or a club U16 team, the same principles apply: break the skill down, give players a clear picture, then put them in repeatable game-like reps until it sticks.
Today Dave splits his time between contract coaching with professional and semi-pro programmes, online coach education through webinars and video skill analysis for players and coaches around the world.
